Ringing in the Changes

Since my last communication of only a day or so ago, I have been thinking it is time to move in a different direction. Instead of bleating on about the inadequacies of the education system, I am going to spend a moment or two looking at the positives. Unless you are fortunate enough to be able to pay for it, education is free. So, why expect it to be perfect? Would you expect a free meal to be perfect? Would you even think you could get a free holiday? Of course not. But, education can cost you nothing. All you have to do is take advantage of it. Cast your mind back and ask yourself did I make the most of what was freely available? Or, was I too busy having a good time? Ask yourself what did I actually gain from school and how has it benefitted me in later life? I bet the answer is plenty. Do you remember the visits from the theatre in education companies? I certainly do. In fact, they stick in my mind more than anything else apart from, maybe, sport. Trips out were great, particularly when it was to the theatre. Not so much of that these days. I guess the cost is often prohibitive. But, hey, Aesop's Touring Theatre Company is still available to come to you. and that will cost a fraction of the cost; probably less than the coach fare alone. I hope some teachers are paying attention. Well, you know me, I just had to end on a sales pitch. Have a look at some more pictures until I write again. Albert......🤷‍
